From the Pastor’s Desk…

Published by Grace Church Admin on

When I was a child, I used to wonder if my mother had eyes in the back of her head. It seemed that no matter how sneaky or quiet I was, she knew what I was up too! I wanted to escape from the preasure of an “all seeing eye”! However, when the Spirit of God began to deal with me about salvation, I realized that there was a lot of things that was unseen by my mother. She didn’t know all the wickedness of my heart, but there was someone who did! God.
The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good! Proverbs 15:3
Nothings is hid from God! Hagar was all alone in the desert but still could say, “Thou God seest me”. If we could only live in the reality that God sees all that we do! He never blinks, winks, or sleeps! God hears all that we say and knows what we think as well. “Man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7. This realization could keep many people from mistakes and even sin!
The modern inventions of men have made it much easier to understand the great truth that God sees all. A doctor on the east coast can watch a heart surgery being performed on the west coast. He can do this through internet or satelite. He can walk others through the procedure even though he isn’t even in the room. We marvel at this, but there is not a throb of the human heart unknown to God. God sees it all. What a solemnizing thought to know that, today, our every act, word, and thought is being noticed by Him. God could be no nearer than He already is!
There is an Eye that never sleeps

Beneath the wings of night;

There is an ear that never shuts,

When sink the beams of light.

Soul, guard thy ways and words today,

For thou art in His sight!
