Blog Bit: Did you know?

Welcome to our newest blog run, “Did you know”! It’s a short blog with a big message!

Did you know….

Ephesians 4:30-And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

The word “grieve” comes from the Greek word “lupete”. As you boil this word down, it describes the pain and grief of two people who deeply love each other, and have experienced unfaithfulness. In other words, the Holy Ghost loves us deeply! When we are unfaithful by our flirting with sin and the world it grieves Him. Like a husband or wife who has found their companion unfaithful, they become shocked, devastated, hurt, wounded, and grived. Jesus said, “If you love me, keep my commandments.”
